Traditional Update

Project 4620

In the historic core of South Baton Rouge, a stone's throw from LSU, David Coco masterfully transformed this 120-year-old home into a contemporary haven for a busy young family, while carefully preserving its rich historical essence. The family's vision of a sanctuary that married modern living with the home's traditional roots was brought to life through David's thoughtful, client-centered design approach. He introduced a palette of light and vibrant colors to capitalize on the home's influx of natural light, notably through a striking wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that was a central feature in the main living area. David also incorporated the client's penchant for distinctive, memorable elements as well as her keen appreciation for modern fine art. Each space within the home radiates both comfort and individuality. David’s masterful blend of old and new culminated in a lovely family home that is as welcoming as it is aesthetically compelling.
